Research interests

Community Ecology: mechanisms promoting species coexistence in communities of Mediterranean woody plants (below-ground mutualistic interactions with mycorrhizal fungi and above-ground antagonistic interactions with pathogenic fungi and insect pests).

Evolutionary Ecology: Evolutionary consequences of plant-animal interactions at different life history stages of plants, especially at recruitment and seed dispersal.

Ecological genetics: geographical genetic patterns underlying divergence processes in Mediterranean plants (the Aquilegia complex at Iberian Peninsula and Tyrrhenian islands).
